Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with what you bought. If a course isn't right for you, you can ask for your money back within 30 days of purchase — no explanation needed.

1. Our 30-day money-back guarantee

Every paid course on MyChessPlace comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase.

If you request a refund within 30 days, we will refund what you paid. You do not need to give a reason.

This voluntary guarantee is in addition to any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.

The guarantee is intended for genuine purchases. In cases of fraud or repeated purchase-and-refund abuse, we may decline this voluntary guarantee as described in section 11 of our Terms and Conditions. Your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

2. How to request a refund

You may request a refund either:

  • by emailing [email protected] from the email address associated with your purchase; or
  • directly through the merchant of record's buyer-support channels where available.

Approved refunds are processed through the payment provider or merchant of record back to the original payment method.

3. What happens after a refund

  • Online access to the refunded course is removed.
  • Your licence to use the refunded course content ends.
  • If you downloaded videos, PGNs, or other course files, you must delete your copies.
  • The order is marked as refunded where applicable.
  • Tax treatment follows the payment provider's applicable checkout and tax rules.

4. Platform closure or content availability

Our 30-day guarantee is separate from any rights you may have if paid content becomes unavailable or MyChessPlace is permanently discontinued.

Our Terms and Conditions explain the notice and download opportunity we aim to provide where reasonably practicable.

5. Consumer withdrawal and statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain contracts within 14 days.

Because our courses provide immediate access to digital content, the merchant of record may ask you during checkout to expressly request immediate access and acknowledge the effect this has on any statutory withdrawal right where applicable.

Our 30-day money-back guarantee is offered separately and is intended to be more generous than the ordinary statutory withdrawal period.

You keep all mandatory rights where content is faulty, not as described, not delivered, or otherwise does not comply with applicable consumer law.
